The Regeneration Series is based on the symbolism of the Ancient Earth based Religions whose predominant theme was the concept of renewal and regeneration.The integration of the boat as the human made "cultural object" with the organic forms as the grown "natural object" provides a format for these ideas to be expressed. Each piece individually characterises Life, Death or Rebirth. This particular piece in the Series has end parts of concentric circles; these "cup and ring" symbols were ancient markers and talismans.
