Arthropodal refers to animals with jointed feet, of or belonging to the Arthropoda. This piece is partly inspired by the numerous crab carapaces (crabs being crustaceans within the arthropod family) that I frequently see on my ocean beach walks.
The Arthropodal Series while intentionally referencing the crab form also recalls the ribs of a boat either in the process of decay or in the beginning stages of building.
